About Wake Fit

WAKE FIT is run by Samuel Wake. Samuel has over 20 years’ experience in the fitness industry. After graduating with an honours degree in Sports Studies in 2001 he worked as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Canadian Olympic team under world class strength coach Andy Barnett (later of New York Giants fame).  After this Samuel achieved his lifetime ambition, being commissioned into the RAF as an Officer.

During his time in the military Samuel took up the sport of Luge, initially as an RAF athlete and later as a member of team GB. Samuel represented Britain on numerous occasions, competing in prestigious races such as the World Cup and European Championships, reaching a highest world ranking of 57th. During this time Samuel was approached to become a fitness model and has since worked for various brands and magazines.

After 10 years in the RAF Samuel left the military to set up his own fitness business. This allowed him to concentrate on his passion: coaching clients and helping them achieve their goals. Samuel practices what he preaches and applies his knowledge by competing in ‘physique/fitness competitions’. He is still involved with elite level sport and performs the role of Strength and Conditioning coach for the GB Luge team.

Samuel currently conducts his personal training from a well equipped Central London gym as well as outdoor/home visits. Samuel has a diverse portfolio of clients from actors and West-end performers to ‘office based’ professionals. He is also been a regular writer and advisor for Men’s Fitness magazine.
